1) Wiping the head includes:

1. passing the wet hands from the front of the head over the hair/head  and wiping  down the length of the neck and then bringing them back to the place where one started.
2. passing the wet hands from the front of the head over the hair/head till the nape of the neck at the back of the head and then bringing them back to the place where one started.
3. passing the wet hands from the front of the head over the hair/head till the nape of the neck at the back of the head without returning back to the place where one started.
4. passing the wet hands from the front of the head over the hair/head  and wiping  down the entire length of the hair even if it is long or braided returning back to the place where one started.

2) With regards to the intention preceding the performance of ablution (wudoo),:

1. the intention should be uttered loudly and clearly.
2. the intention is not a prerequisite for ablution.
3. the intention is in the heart and it is optional to utter it aloud.
4. the intention is in the heart and is not to be uttered.

3) The method of performing ablution:

1. is the same for both men and women.
2. differs between men and women.
3. is the same for both men and women with a few exceptions with regards to the sequence with which the body parts are washed.
4. differs for both men and women with regards to the quantity of water which is to be used.

4) Whilst performing ablution:

1. one should always start with the right side whenever washing the body parts.
2. one should always start with the left side whenever washing the body parts.
3. one need not be particular about which side to start with when washing the body parts.
4. one may alternate between left and right when washing the body parts.
5. There is no mention of which side should be washed first when washing the body parts.

5) Select the statement which is true of ablution.

1. There are no rewards for the performance of ablution as it is simply an obligatory act which must be fulfilled.
2. Allah rewards the Muslim for the performance of ablution even though it is required for prayers.
3. The performance of ablution is not an obligatory act and there are no rewards associated with it.
4. The performance of ablution is always optional hence one may attain reward for performing it.
